Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE) and Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE)

PSHE
Lessons give children the opportunity to discuss and develop their social and emotional literacy: their understanding of themselves, their relationships, their emotions and their health. Through ‘circle time’ and activities, children are helped to understand, express and handle their feelings

RSHE
The Governors agree that sex and relationships education should be taught as part of a general health education programme. Use is made of film and other material which overs aspects of sex and relationships education in an age-appropriate, sensitive and caring way. We hope that this input from school will help the children and encourage further discussion at home. If any parent wishes to withdraw their child from all or part of the programme, please contact the Headteacher
